How many traits?

Hi guys, I need some clarification.

On the stellaris wiki for traits it says that species can have a limit of 5 standard traits and that non-standard traits do not count against this limit. My question is are the advanced traits that you get from biological ascension considered non-standard?

That limit is only for when you make the species in the custom tool when you make your empire. The techs ingame let you go way past that.

Ok, so could I have as many traits as I want so long as they are within 11 trait points?

afaik there is a maximum traits limit, but not sure if thats still true for the actual version of the game.

you are limited to 5 traits regardless of what you do (barring some outliers like hivemind trait) bio ascension doesnt change that
