My materialistic empire is turning spiritualist?
My empire is turning spiritualist at about 26% of the population. The only factors that are giving it such a high % are:
+Active political faction
+Diplomacy with spiritualist empires
-Robotic Pops

My ethics are materialistic and my pops are intelligent and the faction % is going to 22%
+Materialist governing ethics
+Robtic Pops
+Research Agreements with materialistic empires
+Natural Scientist Pops in Empire


How is spiritualist winning the day? This is bad long term.

do you have migration treaties with those spiritualist empires? the spiritualists could be foreign immigrants.

i've never seen a spiritual faction develop on its own in a materialist game after unlocking robots.

You are listing things that influence faciton happiness, not ethics attraction.

2.00 Has traditionalist faction and is not Spiritualist or Fanatic Spiritualist
1.50 Leader of the traditionalist faction is the ruler
2.00 Has Spiritualist
3.00 Has Fanatic Spiritualist
1.25 Has Psionic Theory
1.50 Has mind over matter ascension perk
1.50 Has transcendence ascension perk
-0.75 Has AI full rights
2.00 Is Subject of a Spiritualist or Fanatic Spiritualist empire
1.50 Has federation or defensive pact with a Fanatic Spiritualist or Spiritualist
2.00 Has migration access with a Fanatic Spiritualist or Spiritualist
-0.25 Pop is a robot

if youve ever conquered planets of a spiritualist empire, make sure there are no temples remaining.

I only had a migration treaty and I ended it. Spiritualists are still getting a 15% attraction value after that.

Are you psionic? Psionics tends to attract the spiritualist ethos.

It can happen, rarely, any species can get the psionic traits but the odds are really low like less than 1% I think

2x if scientist expertise is Psionics and level is >4.
1.5x if scientist expertise is Psionics and level is >3.

0.5x If not Spiritualist or Fanatic Spiritualist.

You forgot about the x0 for materialist if they don't have a Psionic Expertise scientist in Society. The wiki lists it under requirements for some reason, which is slightly misleading because it's actually a x0 tech weighting. I find this resource better for looking up techs personally:

You're wrong, the issues he listed are what is displayed in the faction screen for ethics attraction, it just displays them in a slightly simplified form in the UI. Presumably "Diplomacy with spiritualist empires" can include federations, defensive pacts, and migration treaties.
