Need Titan Assebly Yard?

Do I have to research a Titan Assembly yard or what? I have Titans reserached.

No you should get it with titans, just look at your space station modules.

Titan Assembly Yards are a building on the Citadel like Command Center or Offworld Trading company. You don't need to research it but you need to build it.

you need the tech for citadels because it can only be built on a citadel (final starbase upgrade). don't know if that tech is a prerequisite for titans or if you can unlock titans without it.

I think you need to research Citadels before Titans, but you can research Titans before you actually upgrade a station to a citadel.

i seem to have been able to research Titans before Citadels playing the beta... not much point i suppose, except that now i'm ending up researching improved hulls for them before i finally get round to citadels.

Oh, I'm wrong then. Seems like an oversight in design. I guess you get the +10 fleet cap even if you can't build the titan yet.
