How Does Total War Function
So i got a colossus and the game took away all my War Goals and replaced it with Total War. i have not used it yet but so how does it function. It says i have no need to make claims but does this mean i can just take everything?

Yes, the Colossus total war CB functions just like the exterminator civics' CBs: as soon as you fully occupy a system it's yours to administer immediately. Your enemies will likewise get the same benefit against you.

Yes, no longer any need for claims.
Do be careful if you have allies or are in a federation, though. Claims still decide who actually gets a system in this case.

I also found out that if you take the enemy's Capital thier empire ceases to exist, killing all thier pops in their now unclaimed systems, which is stupid, it would just mean use the colossus and explode the enemy capital. It also means that for people like me who try to get all species into thier empire, if the enemy uplifted primitives or had neolithic/stone age species in thier empire, they are now extinct, which sucks

To quote the Necromongers, you keep what you kill.

i guess but that also makes the game broken, if your capital is taken or destroyed, in regular war you get a new planet as a capital. Or you could just float your colossus to thier capital or use armies to take it then no more enemy

I feel in general 2.0 was extremely rushed, which is why i swapped to the 2.02 beta where the devs fixed most things.
