Console commands for private multiplayer game!?
I play this game with my friend, and unfortunately, he is still learning to play, and we get to a point in every game where he is being destroyed, or his economy crashes, unhappiness, and systems rebel.

So his place is in chaos, and I have to constantly start a new game because console commands don't work.

Why cant they? It's a private game, I just want to boost some things for him, sort of a handicap so he can learn the game. :/

Another note, is generally more often than not, we're on opposite sides of a large (1,000) galaxy, and the damage is usually done by the time we meet. Thing's like he did not expand enough, and is boxed in etc.

Trying to teach him to play, but man, wish there was a way to blanket him so he doesn't die before he can learn. xD

Anyways, will we ever have console commands similar to single player in a private multiplayer match?

What do you think?

Thanks for reading!

i hear if you load the save in singleplayer, you can use console commands to add resources or w/e, and then load the game again in multiplayer.

or you can just spawn next to eachother when you start so you can help him

You can use console commands if you load the game single player. Once you do what needs to be done, save the game (or play it until it auto-saves), quit out, and re-load it as a multiplayer. Your changes from the console will remain.

I had to do this when my friend and I beat an end-game crisis, but the game bugged and didn't recognize it.

Since it's a private game, you can use a cheat mod and only have him use it.
