Spectral Wraith - Early Game - A bit broken?
So in the old version of FTL the SW would just jump about a lot, but in this verison of the game it spawns then just wanders round my empire killing every outpost over and over - nothing I can do it's way too powerful me as I'm what I would call late-early game only (2k fleets).

Thoughts? I think it needs a rework maybe a jump drive to pop all over the place.

Come 2249 I had a starbase at roughly 3.5k and a fleet of roughly 1.5k all fitted with anti armor weapons and nothing but armor (since the pulsar strips shields). I had no idea what was coming but it turned out to be the wraith. I lost almost all my ships and defense stations but my starbase was able to finish it off. Seems like that is barely enough to deal with it in a pulsar system if that helps =P

had it wander through my territory once. pretty much just have to hope it wanders away. either try to wait it out or you'll likely have to restart.

The Wraith always is a PITA. If you're not the one to find the star it spawns from your literally get no warning until it shows up in your space or it destroys an enclave.

But....I just deal with it.

Wraiths, like most/all of the Leviathans, require a 20-30k fleet to stand a chance.

The Wraith is weaker in star systems that match it's colour. So if it's a red wraith, try and grab it in a system with a red star.

Otherwise, you just kinda have to hope it goes away before doing too much damage.

if you notice someone's borders suddenly getting holes in it or disappearing there's probably one wandering that area

I generally don't pay a huge amount of attention. Does the Wraith destroy the Outposts or simply disable them?

it will destroy them unless they're in a system with a colonized planet, then they'll come back online

I was also lucky enough to get a marauder fleet enter the same system a wraith was passing through. It was the only time I was thankful those marauding a-holes traipsing through my space
