Artisan Troupe made off with my coin. why?

Why? They had one job and that was to perform their dam festival across my worlds so that my pops don't have to worry about the ravenous swarm next door. Instead they just packed up and left with my minerals and energy.

Now as a patron of the arts i took great offense to this so i went back to their bloody enclave and demanded a refund. While i could only imagine their expressions as they bare witness of my two 70k+ fleets a psi avatar, the dreadnought and the drake.

I am still inclinde to ask as to why is this a thing? Did i trigger something of the sorts?

It's a random chance. Any time you organize the festival, it has a chance to end early with them stealing some of your stuff.

The stuff they steal is minimal, you still get some time with the festival, and you really don't lose too much... and they keep up the patronage deal and still offer renewals while they have their comms shiut down afterwards, so it's not a big deal when this happens.

Great so they will randomly just rob me and because they can. Well i blew up their station for that. anyways thats annoying but i kinda dont see the point of them robbing you to begin with.
