Restricted system?

WTF is this???? My empire cant expand south. I cant send a science ship on passive in. I cant send any military in. How do I make it unrestricted?

Go into the system, click checkmark at the bottom.

Also, you have to have restricted it yourself.

Also, I dont think it was me. It is a MP game and last night my friend lost his internet connection for a minute. When we reloaded my empire was taken over by the AI. I had to stop it from trying to make ALOT of changes to my empire. I think they may have been the ones that set it as restricted.

Could have been me but I have never clicked on or even known about that option from day of release.

I only see the restrict ships button for systems I do not own. How do I restrict my ships from entering a system I own? I want to restrict a couple of systems to force a patrol along a certain path.

You can shift+click for patrol paths, IIRC. This way you can select a specific patrol path system-by-system.

i know its been a while but if your using leviathans then systems that leviathans spawn in are auto restricted i believe

They aren't as far as I've seen.

I agree with Elitewrecker PT, they were not last i played. You must designate the system as restricted. I also haven't played in a while so things might have changed.

If you trade for active sensor link with an AI or so who goes through a system your empire never visited with a science ship (At least for me it was a science ship) and they are promptly destroyed by something that is there and you happen to restrict the system just before the allied ship is destroyed, there is no way to unrestrict the star without a sensor range that lets you look into what that star has again. (Neat but silly and annoying bug)
