Great khan

I made peace with the great khan and became a satraphy. Soon after, I decided to enlighten a primative race. The Khans took the system as their own (despite use being at peace) and are currently exterminating the natives. Is this a bug or a result of me not using passive observations any more?

Happened to me as well, khan takes what he want and it seems primitive are fair game. I have effectively lost the system to him (its his on the galaxy map) but the other planet (colonized by me ) is unaffected. :/

khan has pretty much taken over the galaxy and am about to restart.
at year 2323 and he has about 120k of fleet power in my system about (6 fleets of 10k-30k), and about that again wiping out the other ai.

He spawned next to the most powerful ai in the galaxy and wiped them out in a few years. I was 2nd and surrendered as I knew I had no chance. Now it seems I will never be able to break free before he has taken over the galaxy which should be in about 20 years at the current rate.

EDIT: about 10 years later was killed by his concubine. Most his fllets disappeared and had to reclaim that sytem. Was cursing about it all at the start but worked out in the end.

Having survived it I now find it a pretty cool event.

Doesn't it depend on the size. If he's taken most of the galaxy it'll probably break up.

not always ... it can stay together when a new khan was crowned

Last game i played he died and they just turned back to raiders. Before that they just turned into a empire and did nothing. So i can confirm.

Plot twist!
The Khan is dead and his empire remained whole. I have finally annhilated around 80% of the empire and reclaimed the aforementioned planet. When I got it back, pops from the exterminated race returned.....as a space faring race....
I got my wish in the end (another species to add to my empire) but not the way I intended.

how can one avoid this ♥♥♥♥??? i de-activated the end game crisis. and still this ♥♥♥♥ comes in. i have a 14l fleet and the have like 60k. wtf!!! i want to play a fair game...
