Precisely 42 years and 3 days after I encountered that event, a swarm of nanites transformed a useless barren world into a class 12 gaia planet. Not too shabby.

i think my most recent one is a nanite ship but as far as i know you can get a gaia world, a toxic world and i think a tomb world is possible or a bomb i think.
Most of the time I got gaia worlds 15+ and when I got the event in another session I totally relied on that and took "Life seeded" and freaked out when the event popped up. The thing is... it doesn't always do good things and I've been pretty miffed when it made the planet explode :D

I had this in a campaign and nothing happened, so I think it don't actually do anything

SPOILER:

Some people say that nothing happens, I had this event today. Decided to wait the 42 years 3 days. (Not sure if it was exactly that long in game) But I got a pretty crazy 1.7k strength ship from waiting.

I think that there are conditions in the script that can result in no event triggering after 42 years and 3 days. Can you provide more details on your game?
a) Were you owner of the system in which this anomaly was detected 42 years and 3 days later. I had a situation where I've left that system for AI to make its choke point and than nothing happened.
b) If that system had a primitive civilization planet, was it still around (primitive, conquered, enlightened, protectorate, vassal)? It never activated for me if it was a protectorate, vassal or I made xenos independent in order to make them ally in a federation.
c) If that system had any habitable planets, was any of those actually inhabited at the time the event was supposed to be triggered? Out of possible events, if nuclear devastation is triggered it requires inhabited primitive world or a colony and if there is none, nothing may happen.
d) Was anomaly detected around main star, some secondary or tertiary star, planet, moon or asteroid?
e) Archeology and some other events pulling that system on random to add something to it, may remove this event from a system. When that chain in which you collect exotic specimens picks a planet flagged by 42 years and 3 days, it can't trigger if the chain isn't yet completed.
Sometimes the game can't activate the event it rolls, as it would mess up another event chain etc.

i have gotten the event 2-3 times. 1st time it exploded and filled all over a world and gave it some engineering reserche points. 2nd time i got a interdictor class battleship the same as in the L-cluster Grey tempest event i did end up having the grey tempest event later in that game. i dont remember the 3rd time
