Voidspawn Question
Hey everyone, just got back into Stellaris after a long break - the Voidspawn is in my borders. Any idea what kind of fleet power it will take to bring it down? I can't seem to find a discussion or youtube videos about it.

Thanks for the help!

Some say 25k, others say 40k.

Is there any way to track it before it hatches? The trailer shows it breaking open a planet.

It used to be that a 40k fleet was considered the safe zone for taking out midgame leviathans, while a specialized 20k fleet would be able to do the job also. Now it seems like a 20k fleet should get the job done, but with a large amount of casualties if you do not specialize it against the creature's weakness.

Voidspawns penatrate sheilds, but not armor. They also have no sheilds, so the best weapon to use are lasers, and also have your fleets equiped with full armor.

This may be considered a **SPOILER**

@mcsproot I surveyed a desert planet in my borders, it had special tile blockers on it I've never seen before. Then, before I settled, it went through a series of events to bcome the Voidspawn.

Well I asked the question so if I complain about a spoiler in the answer, that's just dumb.

I don't think I've seen this event (I got a planet with a pile of fungus blockers but I think that's been around awhile) so it looks like the Voidspawn isn't in my current game.

I wish there was a slider to allow us to have all Leviathans in a single Huge 1000 star map.

I can confirm now that the Voidspawn can be killed comfortabley with two 20k fleets and only minimal losses.

Also, it is possible that it's in your game. It doesn't leave the system when it spawns in it. On defeating it however there was a hint that it could have reached adulthood, but I won't know now from this game playthrough.

Well I've scanned pretty much all of the galaxy by now and I've yet to have the 'hey this planet looks funny' event you mentioned.

In case you still haven't found out, the voidspawn egg-planet will always be a size 20 dry climate planet orbiting a G-class star, when surveying the "planet" you should get a notification about how it seems to be pulsating, half a year later it'll spawn a bunch of blockers and destroy buildings if there's a colony on it, and another half a year later it'll either hatch, or it will stop pulsating and then nothing will happen.
