Pick a faction with it and embrace that faction. Make sure they have the ethics you want

1. Have an authoritarian faction.
2. Get support for the faction to at least 20%.
3. Embrace the faction.

Note that if either of your existing ethics is fanatic it will downgrade to make place for authoritarian as a third ethic.

That much I know but the problem is that through my 100 years into the game, I only got matherialistic faction minority and huge fanatic xenophobic faction - no other faction at all. So how to do that?

Hmm, maybe having some slaves will make a new faction with authoritarian

I have had slaves for last 50 years.

Your governing attraction is probably too high then

You can increase the chance of a pop becoming authoritarian:

1. Have an Imperial Government
2. Have enslaved pops of other species
3. Have enslaved pops of the same species
4. Give them the 'decadent' trait
5. Don't have them be enslaved
6. Don't give them good or better living standards

Indirectly you can decrease the attraction for other ethics so they are more likely to switch to authoritarian.

"effect country_add_ethic = (ethic id)" - example - "effect country_add_ethic = ethic_authoritarian" List of ids available at https://stellarischeats.com/codes/ethic-key.

This game can make it hard to promote a diversity of opinions in your populace (something I try to do). There are technologies and buildings that cut against that agenda if you have it. Auto-cthonic monuments and the like will pretty much line everyone up with your governing ethics, so I try to avoid them when cultivating political diversity. There are species traits that make pops more likely to reject your governing ethic specifically (deviants). There are some GC resolutions that increase the spread of spiritualism. If you follow the agendas laid out by the faction, it tends to increase their support - so like if you want to boost materialists, build robots and desecrate tomb worlds. There are also various edicts, policies, and event modifiers that can influence people's political opinions. I can't say for sure that it's causally related but it seems to me that building luxury housing on a world tends to push against egalitarianism and give me random authoritarian pops.

One quick route there from the route you're taking might be to set your starter species rights to some kind of stratified living standards, if you haven't tweaked that yet. You'd probably take a big hit in unhappiness at first as a bunch of your people realize they're plebes in the new order.
