Does your Prince do anything?

I see that he gets traits and skill levels, but I can't tell if he actually does anything. So does he help the empire or is he just there?

You mean ruler? Yes his traits and stats give bonuses to the empire.

No I mean the heir of an imperial government type. He still aquires traits and skill stars, but I can't tell if he does anything.

Oh that's interesting, I've never played that gov type, didn't know princes were a thing.

Perhaps he doesn't but is simply "maturing" on his way to the throne. I think I need to play an Imperium next.

They take over at ruler death. Instead of elections.

As long as he is still prince he does nothing, the positive thing is that you can see his perks in advance so you can do a bit of planning involving those, doing stuff he does well or makes cheaper when he is your actual ruler.

If only there were a way to spend influence to have the prince overthrow the king...
