What technologies I EXACTLY need to build Ringworlod?
Hello there!
Didn't played Stellaris for long time. Returned. Now want to have Ringworld technology... but I am little confused. What 1) science technologies and 2) selectable bonuses I need to take?

If I need some science technologies - I should just learn them from random-technology-list, or I can obtain them only with some special events?

Can't find guide that exactly could tell me this step-by-step.

And - path to Ringworld building is same in 2.0.X and 1.9.1? Or something was changed?

Circle of Life perk was removed, now you need Galactic Wonders perk, which requires mega-engineering tech. If you're having trouble getting mega-engineering to show up, taking Master Builders will give it as a research option, as well as increasing your mega-structure build speed.

You will need the following traditions perk :
Voidborn (you need to research Star fortress first)
Master builder wich unlock the Mega-Engineering research
You will have to research the Mega Engineering research to unlock the last needed perk wich is
Galactic Wonders.
Then select a construction ship, get into a suitable sector and select "Build megastructure" and enjoy

This is 2.0.X path, right? And Mega-engineering can be just found in tech tree, or need some pre-techs to be researched?

And what exactly is needed to build it in 1.9.1?

for 1.9.1 i'm unsure, and mega engineering need the Master builder perk

Voidborne shouldn't be necessary. You can jump to galactic wonders as soon as you have mega engineering. Mega engineering can pop up on its own, but unless you have a ruined structure in your territory in can be a bit rare.
In 1.9 you'll need the additional perk circle of life.

Voidborn is a prerequisite, sorry to inform

It's a pre req for galactic wonders? I'm gonna have to check that again

As far as the wiki goes, yes
Elitewrecker PT May 16, 2018 @ 9:06am
Wiki doesn't say Galactic Wonder needs Voidborne, only Mega-Engineering.
It says Master Builders needs either Voidborne or Galactic Wonders.

So the most viable way is getting Voidborne, so you can get Master Builders so you can research Mega-Engineering to get Galactic Wonders.
Either that, or hope for Mega-Engineering to pop for research.

To unlock mega engineering, you need master builders, otherwise it will not pop up

No, mega engineering can pop up as a tech without master builders.
Unless that was changed in the last two patches or something.

It will, you just need more prereq-techs: Battleships, Citadel, Zero Point Power
And its a rare tech so it might take a lot of time to show if RNG isnt nice to you

If you're playing the most recent version (2.0.4 or 2.0.5), this is how you get Ringworlds.

First, you need to own the Utopia expansion.

Then, you need the Mega Engineering technology. This is a rare spawn Engineering technology. The only pre-requisite I am aware of is Zero Point Power, the final reactor technology in the Physics technologies.

Then, you need an empty Ascension Perk. You can then pick the Galactic Wonders perk. I believe this needs 3 or 4 perks to be chosen prior, but does not have any required perks. Galactic Wonders allows you to build the Dyson Sphere, Science Nexus, Sentry Array and Ringworlds.

Without mods you are limited to one Dyson Sphere, one Science Nexus and one Sentry Array. I am unsure if there is a limit to the numer of Ringworlds you can build.

This is different from older versions, where you needed Voidborne (allows you to build Habitats) before you could pick Circle of Life (which allowed you to build Ringworlds).
