so got this event happening, and 2 out of the 5 marked planets are already scanned before this appeared and i can't do anything with them. what am i suppose to do? doesn't seem to be just have them scanned seeing as it shows i have done 0/5

nvm found on a single reddit post a guy who had the same problem and solved it himself. just have to leave the system and re-enter.

What I did was select the researcher that I wanted to go and research the project, right click on the exclamation mark while on the system and chose Investigate Special Project.

I've tried re entering the system but that doesnt do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. 4/5 Completed but the last one just refuses to work.

do you have anythign already in the system? including stations? if so you may need to remove them to lose 'sight' of it and re-enter with something

I have like 3 mining stations. So that means I gotta waste 270 Minerals, time, and any minerals that could be produced within the time it takes to rebuild it? Thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Is there any hope of it getting patched?

from the looks of it, it somewhat of a coding limitation, event tries to pick the closest planets the match the planet types needed for the chain event that you haven't claimed yet, due to how near the beginning it tends to trigger when you normally wouldn't have spread so quickly yet. i found is it marked the planet while i was already in it and due to me not leaving before making a outpost and stations in it it doesn't trigger. have yet to see it happen by marking a system that already is claimed
