2.0 how to get subjugation Casus Belli?

How do i get em?

Not fully sure but I think you have to have the domination tradition tree started.

Someone correct me if im wrong tho

Just now tried, only lets me demand it :/

unlock the domination tree
then demand vassalisation or tributary status from your target
if they refuse you get a casus belli

Aren't you looking for subjugation in the end...?

If they say yes - they give in and are subjugated.
If they say no, you can declare war to subjugate them.

They say no = you get the permission to take by force what you want.

So, funny that I have a problem regarding this right now. I have all traditions unlocked anyway, so this isnt the problem. But I cant demand tribute from any empire in the galaxy. It's greyed out so I cant even ask them. If I hover my mouse over it it has an X behind "Is bordering blabla(empire)".

That option is unavailable for all empires in the galaxy, it doesnt matter if I border them or not.

Any advice on that by any chance?


*edit* found the problem. Just border to border isnt enaugh, it has to be a system to system border. Two systems that are connected via hyperlane.

You already know that they're not going to say yes, why bother asking in the first place? They almost always say no, it's silly.
