Is Apocalypse worth the price tag?
I'm not going to dance around the point, in AUS monopoly money this is going to cost anywhere from 25-40 buckaroos, depending on how favorable the exchange rate gods are feeling.

This is a gamble for me. Do you lovely people think its worth this amount of cash? I love this game a ton and have sunk some decent time into and enjoy playing, havent played 2.0 yet and I'm seeing some pretty mixed reactions from you guys about it.

I just dont want to shovel this much money into something thats not going to give me a fairly decent amount of content. I'm also worried that I may not like 2.0 and get turned off playing, making Apocalypse a waste of money. I don't know guys, I'm really on the fence with this one, help me out? :p

No.

Just wait a few months until they do a 50% sale for it. Same thing for every other paradox DLC.

No. I wish I waited for a sale.

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'm just going to play 2.0 for a while and see how things go from there and maybe pick Apocalypse up later on when on sale. :)

lately im kinda leaning to "if you have to ask if its worth it, it's probably not" when it comes to this game.

if you enjoy the game as is, the dlc basically just adds more. if you don't like the game as is...

Currently, the DLC and the new update are bug-ridden and the new war system is VERY punishing (and not in a good way).

Wait for the bugfixes and tweaks to the new war system.

EDIT: But the DLC is pretty gooood~!

Totally worth it!
No, it's certainly not worth the pricetag.

95% of developement-updates is free.
5% is paid DLC.

It barely adds something, but I like the development and effort that went into the updates, hence it's more about supporting the continued development on the game.

Don't buy it, mods have everything they added for free. And they actually work and have competent developers.

All this adds in is a new mid-crisis and some good end-game content. If none of that interests you, everything else was added in the free update. So no, you don't need this. I bought it because I wanted to support the devs further, and thank them for unusually giving players a much larger free update.

I got it after all, it was on discount on Game Billet

I bought it. I regret it. Don't me like me

I get what some of you guys are saying about supporting the developers, and normally I tend to buy DLC even when I know its not exactly worth it, the problem is for me at the moment, buying new games or DLC is very much a luxury its an either or situation. Do I buy DLC for $20 and maybe not get much play from it? Or do I buy a whole game for that same $20? I can't afford both, as much as I would love to. So I really have to balance content VS price. Sad, and it sucks. :(
