White screen on start-up
The Stellaris only gives me the white screen with sounds (BGM) after pressing the Launch button on the launcher.

It tested with two options; Full screen mode / Window mode

1) Full screen mode

The game showed the loading screen but it stucked in 0%.

So I inputted the [Alt+Tab] to go back to the outside,
then the loading percentage went up (20+a%) in that moment.

But when I came back to the game, it stucked again.

After pressing the [Alt+Tab] recurrently, finally I reached to the main menu of the game.
BUT, the screen stucked too on the main menu.

The mouse-click on the main menu was working but the screen is stucked unless I press the [Alt+Tab].

2) Window mode

I could hear the loading BGM of the Stellaris with the incredibly white screen. Cool. I love that beat.

I tried these;
Remove the '~/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris' directory
Re-install 2 times.
Update to the latest NVIDIA graphic driver
Run as administrator

The spec. of my PC is;
Ryzen 1600x
GTX1070
16GB RAM

Is there anyone who can solve my problem?

WTF I solved this problem by adding '-opengl' start-option

Have the same issue, with the -opengl command the screen goes from partial whitewash with invisilbe writing to background whitewash with visible writing.

Playable, but most irritating.

Can anyone suggest anything other than another re-install, already done it once.

Actually, I have never played this game before, so I have no idea where the problem you've mentioned appears. If you tell me which part shows that problem in the game, I'll check the same part on my PC whether the same problem occurs or not.

Thanks for the Initial pointer Ponpata. The main start screen, where You can start new game m that is the screen where my background whitewash occurs, more like going negative on the colours now that i think about it, rather than whitewash.

Before the '-opengl' instruction it wasn's just negative on the start screen it was whitish white with slightly darker text on the screen, after the opengl, i can read the text, barely, and select options, and start a new game or laod a old game. Most times the star background stays normal black, but it sometimes loads in as negative starfield.

I had the problem with white screen on load up as well looked at a few things and nothing worked. so I remembered what i did was change a setting to full-screen from in the game requiring restart. stopped working after that which lead me to my fix.

Fix:
1.go to documents. paradox interactive. stellaris. and move/copy your mod folder and save files folder to desktop.
2. delete entire stellaris document folder.
3. start game should remake the folder and work.
4. re-add your modds and save files you moved/copied out back so you keep the stuff.

disclaimer: there is something in those files that causes this and this is just a brute force tactic. will remove all other settings as well and play sets. basically if nothing else works this will definitely work.
