How to get Stability High?
I can't seem to get high stability on my planets and I'm wondering what else I can do to improve it.

Example from current game: My home world is the best at 62%. Zero crime, 29 amenities and a single -1 on overcrowding. The highest I've seen it is 67%.

Most of my worlds hover between 45% and 55%. Is there something else I can be doing to improve it?

The highest I have gotten is the low 80s. That was with high amenities, sufficient housing and no unemployment. I'm sure species living standards play a role too.

Doesn't the amenities stability bonus cap out at like 10%? I've also been wondering how (or if it's possible) to get stability higher than ~70.

my stability is almost all time 100% after midgame. i play aristocrats gov perc (+15)+psi-ascension (+5). Also u get +5 from ascension tree and +5 if u have police goverment gov perc. Keep amenties positive, crime negative and living space enouth! u can sacrifice living space sometimes if planet for raw resousres only

For max bonus from amenties u have to have it x2 your population sise (slightly less if u have percs for reducesd consumption)

Check you species' rights and empire policies. Higher happiness and comfort play a part too. My materialist and egalitarian empires usually hold a 76% stability minimum per planet.

I can reach 100 with a spiritualist Civ. Avoid slavery/purges because these heavily reduce stability. Follow what the biggest factions want. Pacifict Civ have a stability bonus but not worth picking it anyway.

Housing/overcrowding give high penalties to stability.

Right. But that's what I'm saying: if my housing is fine and I have 10+ amenities, why can't I get past 50-60% stability?

I'm guessing it probably has something to do with my empire traits.

@ColorsFade. you playing Hivemind/machine empire :? those are hard to increase.(I assume not given you got 0 crime.)
Getting the harmony Path increases Stability. and helps to get high stability.

having a high Approval Rating helps 2. you just need to have High pop Happiness.

Deep space blacksite can increase Stability for ALL planets inside the system.

(from wiki:)
Each point of Approval Rating above 50% adds +0.6 Stability, up to +30 at 100% Approval Rating.
Each point of Approval Rating below 50% adds −1 Stability, up to −50 at 0% Approval Rating.

No. I only have the base game, no DLC. I am playing a variety of custom factions, usually things like Fanatic Military + Egalitarian, or Fanatic Materialist.

Their are two civics I almost always get when i need to abuse a mechanic that tanks stability

Byzantine Bureaucracy: gives 1 stability and 1 unity per bureaucrat i believe highest level Admin building gave 8 jobs before that that +8 stability. (this is the one you are going to want most the time as it the most flexable)

AND

Aristocratic Elite: You can get one Noble Estate which grants one Noble job plus the noble job from the admin building each noble gives +5 stability so both of them together is +10 stability.
RawCode Apr 15, 2021 @ 4:30am
police state +5
information edict +5
blacksite +5
aristocratic elite 5-20 (max bonus require max tier capital and building slot)
amenties bonus +20

pacifist +10
inward perfection +10
perk +5

it's possible to max stability on every world if you actually want to, but this is waste of time and effort.
it's more efficient to use stability bonuses to offset negative amenties penalty, and instead of wasting pops on amenties, put them to real job.

I believe there is a basic misconception; 100% is not normal, 50% is.
Above 50% you start to get boni.
