Enslaved my own species?
My policies are set to allow slavery, chattel slavery, and my own species has full citizenship. Yet when I look at some planets some of my own specie's pops are enslaved?

What am I doing wrong here?

Check the genetical traits of these slaves. Part of your species can change genetical(mutation on low hab planetes/mating with aliens) and then they are not treated anymore like your mainspecies, but still have the same portrait picture.

Can't do that anymore. Previously authoritarians could do it with caste system, but now that's removed. Best you can do is stratified society which makes workers cheaper to maintain, and giving penalty to their happiness.

Nothing wrong. Having a stratified living standards allows this, and can be beneficial if you plan for it. Oh, I suppose that would be what you're doing wrong-? Change living standards.

ah so if i change my main specie's living standards to something that isn't stratified it won't enslave them anymore?

Or having slaves in the first place.

In my games I prohibit slavery.

Ha ha...

Aliens beware! In my Galaxy there is only place for one species - the rest are purged from existance.

Do you have slave guilds?
Slave guilds enslave 40% of your planet population.
I personaly love slave guilds because i am all for equality.
I dont care who you are but if you cant get a job you can be of use as a slave.
Simple, effective.
Pity i need to waste a goverment slot for the option.

Yeah that's the entire point of the civic really.

I think it's really good since it means you get +20% on mins, energy, food that you wouldn't have had otherwise, at the cost of some happiness from slaves.

And more importantly:
If you put slaves on domestic the unemployed will work as servants creating amilties.
Best way to avoid unemployed i found so far.

Is domestic servitude part of DLC? The only option I have is chattel slavery.
