More Unique MegaCorps like the Megachurch would be cool.
Just really hope they add more diverse megacorporation options for the unique ethics.
At the moment there's really just 3 types, spiritualist megachurches, criminal syndicates, and neither (unless both). Only one of which really having to do with any ethic faction.

For example:

Maybe each Megacorp could have a unique ethics based policy for their trade branches.

MegaChurches are about conversion and so they get increased trade value per spiritualist pop on planets.

> A materialist mega corp could get bonus trade value from research value on branch planets.

> A militarist trade branch could maybe add defensive armies while getting more naval capacity for their mercenary ranks.

Would be neat for them to get a special policy where they could serve as mercenaries in wars for other empires with payment. with an actual mechanic (rather than just rping it and trading the resources).

> A xenophile trade branch could offer additional jobs that benefit both empires

> An authoritarian megacorp could maybe offer special trade branches in vassal territories that increase stability or just produce more. In return maybe granting those vassal empires additional research bonuses to technologies that the megacorp empire has.

> A xenophobic megacorp could offer more hostile actions as a version of the criminal syndicate that would more directly work to destroy the planet's economy. Maybe they wouldn't suffer the +50% empire sprawl Megacorps have to encourage them to be more expansion based. That way they could work towards taking over planets after they're done terrorizing them.

> An egalitarian Megacorp could maybe offer more benefits based on the happiness of the population.

> Pascifist Megacorps could disallow certain military minded buildings in trade branches (naval cap and alloy buildings). In return maybe they can setup free commercial agreements with empires that don't even want it. Benefiting both empires as well as building trust.

Megacorp, Hive, and Machine Intelligence need more to them but the problem is since they are DLC, I don't think they are gonna get any outside of mods (most game companies shun away from making DLC require DLC).

Well I have seen them modify stuff in the past, for example hiveminds and machine intelligence empires used to be a lot different (and rather similar) to other empires before they had the 2.2 economics overhaul.

They also do retroactively add in some things on occasion, but I do worry that Megacorp might get a bit left behind with the current trend in the civics.

Yeah I saw the first, and you can pull off the second thanks to being a materialist synthetic ascension, but thanks for the heads up.
