As for Rord64, I was just surprised that you go from one end of the spectrum of making a great and helpful (even friendly) post to the other end of calling someone names. (Whatever the name might be)
Would you rather have me said "Well if he'd rather be a person who dislikes modern technology"?
I was just shortening it.
It's more resignation than name calling. If you don't want cookies, there are going to be a lot of internet sites you won't be able to read. The difference is that this wiki TELLS you that instead of the others that simply do it without telling you. There really isn't much practical difference. Though if you really want to, we can write a HUGE guide here for you, but it will take pages. You interested?
I am 99% sure that those other areas use cookies. Steam, which you are using right now, uses cookies. if you want to avoid cookies, avoid the internet altogether
Just be careful, the numbers and things like production fluctuate massively through a huge number of factors so treat them as ballpark figures instead of hard and fast ones. For example, energy, it relies on 1-species traits 2-government traits 3-civics, 4- planet happiness, 5- leadership, 6- colony designation, 7- tech, 8- buildings and this is just the basics that I can remember off the top of my head.
The districts and city districts being separated also threw me for a few minutes. Unless I did it wrong, it looks like you count the specific number of 'built' squares in the energy, food, and minerals "districts" and then add those up for the total (which is 6 squares..2 of each at +1). The "city districts" is all by itself for yet another 6 energy. There are 3 full blue squares and those look like are worth 2 each. Not sure why they divided them up unless is was due to the differing costs of each district.
Lastly, the other one that messed me up until I read another forum post was the starbases. If you hover the mouse over just the icon on the system map, it does not give you any resource cost anywhere. You have to move the mouse to hover over the actual physical starbase out in space which then shows a +2 cost. However, the overall cost is listed at 5 energy. The mouse over is not taking into consideration the 3 modules/crew quarters on the station which all take +1. The overall list however, is taking it into consideration but there was a delay of a few seconds before it showed after I dismantled them during testing. (would be nice if there was a more detailed breakdown report screen somewhere you had access to, but as you mentioned the delay in not displaying correct numbers would have to be overcome first such as forcing a synchronization when the game is paused)
