I know it has been awhile, but seriously, these newer model human ships look nothing like humanoid ships lol

You can use any shipset for any empire no matter what species they start as, so I think it's fine. They could have called them shipset 1, 2, 3, etc. and the result would be identical. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

lol no one is buying some $8 pack to switch the ships around that they switched in some patch for whatever reason. You kids must be new to paradox, since in all the other games for years and years now, to say on this forums or the paradox ones which things should be what way and they review and change things. Kids today man, they'll learn someday.

And how do humanoid ships look like? We have no real life comparison, do we? It was the team's idea on how ships made by humanoid species will be and that is what they offer you for sale. Don't like it, don't buy it. Simple.

The DLC ships look a hell of a lot better than those boxy pieces of crap the mammalians use.

Also new shipsets are a lot of work for the devs. Anward made a few posts on the main forum explaining it. Summarized it adds a huge amount of work for every new ship type they add to the game (see Titan and Colossus). So the price is not bad and the humanoids pack is very high quality.

My favourite design is the Reptilian ones. But I fell in love with the sleek humanoid ships as well. Fit really well in a High Tech Tall build.

But if we are talking just cosmetics, I think Endless Space 2 wins on all fronts. Sophon ships, Vodyani ships, Vaulters ships... *drooling face*

True! Those ships do look delicious! Tbh I had hoped that by now Stellaris would have released more race/ship packs.
