"Can't afford to reinforce fleet"
I have 25k alloys, yet it refuses to let me reinforce my fleet with the above message displaying. However, when I but alloys I can. Is this a case of the number of alloys displaying incorrectly? This is a game running without mods.

Do you have enough strategic resources?
Good point, let me check that out
I don't use dark matter in my designs yet, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Fleet Manager bugs out for me sometimes and refuses to count the ships correctly. Particularly if my fleet goes MIA or I cancel production of ships that were ordered through fleet manager. Disbanding and remaking the fleet will usually fix it for me.

Edit: By disband I dont mean destroying the ships, I just mean reorganising them into a new fleet.

What is the total cost of the ships needing to still be built
Somewhere around 20k, but that shouldn't matter as normally it will reinforce all the ships it can with the resources you have.
So even if I had 1k alloys I should still get the option.

I'd still say pay attention to strategic resources. I don't know anything else besides that.

even if you dont have the resources the fleet will start to upgrade and continue to upgrade as the resources come in. so very strange indeed.

if i recall this happens with something related to ship designer.

Huh, well I just booted the game up today, and the alloys I had went down to 37, but now I can reinforce properly? For the record strategic resources were not the issue, I still have a surplus.
