Outside Context achievement...what did I do wrong???
I spend 500 years exterminating the entire stupid galaxy except for this dumb blue planet, wait another 150 years, for it to *finally* reach the Machine Age, invade...and no achievement. What??? I know it talks about invading during a World War but nothing I can find online ever really acknowledges that part, and that requirement is seemingly commented out of the event file for the achievement in the current build of the game. Do I still actually have to wait for WW2 to start? This is just really frustrating. :2015coal: :2015coal: :2015coal:

It's determined at game start.

One of the options that Earth can be generated as is in the middle of WWII.

Look at the armies on the world, they should have WWII sounding names like "French Army"

Right I know that, I've seen it before (got screwed over by doing it when Achievements were broken) -- but that flag seems to be commented out entirely in the event file, unless "humans_machine_age" is now what defines it.
# Outside Context country_event = { id = action.51 hide_window = yes is_triggered_only = yes trigger = { is_ai = no #fromfrom = { # has_planet_flag = wwii #} from = { is_country_type = primitive has_country_flag = humans_machine_age has_country_flag = machine_age } } immediate = { set_country_flag = outsidecontext } }

So I actually have to roll this one billion-sided die as opposed to a million-sided die? ugh

Never mind, found special_system_jnitializers where Earth can have those armies in the Machine age -- but only if initially created that way. The Earth from my game progressed at least from Renaissance, although it looks like they can only spawn as Medieval, Machine, or Early Space Ages. Lame!!
