Play Stellaris on second monitor; Setting Stellaris to Windowed Mode does nothing
Trying to bring up Stellaris on secondary monitor. Seems to be a very common, very ancient, very widely ignored request. Have tried to set graphics to Windowed Fullscreen and Windowed. Neither setting actually does anything.

CTRL+WinKey+Left/Right Arrow key (depending which 'direction' your second monitor is in) while game is in Borderless Windowed mode.

Works on any app/game that can be windowed/borderless window.

Thanks. Unfortunately, doesn't work.

Works fine here. What Windows version? If Win10 then I can't help, I don't use that horrible OS. I wouldn't be surprised if MS have ruined something so that shortcut no longer works, though :(

I was trying to get this same thing and found this topic. On Win10 ctrl+winkey doesn't move the game, but with a little experiment I found that shift+winkey+arrow does.

Might be too late for the OP, but will hopefully help anyone else who might be googling this.

It only moves the window though, doesn't change it to the correct resolution

Instead of CTRL, you need to use SHIFT, but nevertheless, thank you very much. You made my life a lot easier by telling me about this possibility, and now I don't have to physically turn off one of the monitors when I want to play on another monitor.
