I sent the constructor to the star. Clicked build starbase in the constructor, and it moves to the location and like I said shows a progress bar but builds nothing. No. Instead, apparently the ONLY way to build a starbase is to right click the sun and select that option from the menu. Sure seems obnoxiously overstrict to have it be just that one way but that the construction ship can't cue the orders 1) move to the star 2) build a starbase. It's already been surveyed by the science shop so just seems odd, like no one in the Dev team thought we'd think of sending the ship to a location and clicking the thing we want built there as the 2nd step. How old is Stellaris again? hahaha
Yeah figuring that out. Just wasted so many years thinking it was building something it wasn't hahaha
Makes me wonder if you had zoomed out enough to see that green outlining showing up.
Thorin :)
When it works without the right click, which i did for mining stations with the same, to me, insanity, 3 drones would come out of the construction ship and be making noise, no outline though, and what they were making didn't show up until they were finished.
tried to right click and build megastructure on a plent, didn't work. using the ships menu instead suddenly worked. It's just freaking out a bit soemtimes.
