What is the Megastructure Build Capactiy?
I'm trying to decide what Ascension Perks to get, and I noticed that Master Builders provides a +1 to Megastructure Build Capacity. I looked around trying to figure out *exactly* what this stat did, but can't seem to find any mention of it online. What it does will likely determine whether or not I get this ascension perk, so I'd really like to know. Does anyone know what it does?

It's the number of megastructures you can build/repair/upgrade at once. Default is 1. The perk increases it by 1, and there's a Unity Ambition ("Architectural Renaissance") that you can activate to gain an additional 1 to that limit.

Whether or not you'll actually be ABLE to build three simultaneously depends on your economy, but this is normally a super late game scenario.

Uncertain, but I think it means you can probably build two megastructures at once. But it might mean you can have more of them or something. I want to know this as well.

i think what it means is this:
initially, you have a max-number of megastructures of 0 on every system, meaning you are not able to build any megastructures. when you research the master builders thing, this limit increases by 1, meaning that now you will be able to build 1 megastructure per system.

But you can get the other perk to get ringworlds and stuff without that, so the base cap cant be 0.

normally you can only build/upgrade/repair one megastructure at a time. if you're planning on building a lot of megastructures it is worth picking up for the build time reduction and if you have the alloy production to support it then building more than one is pretty good too

yeah true. i guess in that case your explanation makes more sense.

Er, I'm pretty sure it allows you to build multiple Megastructures at once, as I currently have a Dyson Sphere and whatever the Mineral one is called in progress right now and am currently able to also build a Science Nexus or Ring World

Yeah, I think this is it. People have long complained you can only build one at a time, so I think this was meant to rectify that. Still, haven't played around with it much since the changes, so that's not first hand knowledge I'm sharing.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Now the final question: Where in the game i can SEE, how many i can build at the same time?
This should stand somewhere...

there might be something in the empire info when you click on your banner but base capacity is 1, then there's only two things that add 1 build capacity that i can think of. so should be fairly simple to keep track of.

the only "hint" ingame is when trying to build more, that there is a limit.
But fore a "good" strategy game (hich will Stellaris NEVER be), there should be information about your possibilities, limits and capacities ;)

People, i KNOW that!
I want to know, if this information is INGAME somewhere for overview ;)

but nevermind

Should've opened your own thread instead of posting in one from almost 4 years ago. Try it now, you might get better answers.

It should appear when you try to build a new megastructrure but really there is no need (and in fact no reason) to create a counter for something that normally is 1 and, at most, can go up to 3. It would just clutter the UI for no tangible benfit at all since even the most distracted of players can count to 3.

I wonder if the mods have given up on locking necro threads. They used to be good about it around here, but I suppose there have just been too many lately.
