Constant background noise, please help
For some reason, i have some sort of static/fuzzy noise happening in my game ALL THE TIME and its driving me crazy. I had same problem in HoIV but i fixed it by simply changing sound settings, yet sadly Stellaris settings are completely barebones and something like changing to 5.1 or 7.1 isnt a thing.

Anyone got fix for this crap?

I assume the unbidden and the contingency are not present (they do make static like background noise)?

Have you checked your sound drivers are okay? Tried using another playback device?

I know I get the odd crackling and popping on the audio but my speakers are just a little bit broken, headphone playback is fine.

This problem is present literally ONLY in Stellaris and as i said, it seems to be directly caused by wrongly selected sound option but there is no way to change that in Stellaris compared to HoIV where i changed from Stereo to Headphones and everything was fine.

No Crisis needed for this sound to happen.

Have you tried right clicking on the sound icon and open your sound settings? you can choose the device you want to use there and also run the troubleshooter to see if an issue with your sound devices.

Its almost certainly a sound effect within Stellaris, for some reason the devs like obnoxious sound effects.

A link to a video of the sound you mean would be helpful of course.

There is a setting for background sounds, but it kinda kills the mood when the endgame crisis comes knocking.

I have Headphones selected as default. Stellaris doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥.
Well, to fix this I had to lower the game's volume in the mixer, if someone could find a better fix for this I'd be happy

i had a similar problem - steelseries arctis 7 headset - turning down the volume in the system mixer fixed it.
