Unbalanced?
Hey,

Anyone know if Paradox has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the game somehow? I give the AI players no advanced AI starts, they're on normal difficulty yet EVERY SINGLE AI player is either Overwhelming or Superior in everything in terms of fleet power.

This has never happened before, but the last few games I've played the AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy overpowered. I'm sitting there with like 8k fleet power and a randomized AI empire without an advanced start is sitting on over 30k and wipes the floor with me. :I

So yeah, did they like super-buff the AI recently or what?

It's hard to say, maybe they a bit buffed
It's pretty hard, but still I do not see anything impossible. Look for alternatives - not attacking the forehead in the forehead.

Perhaps you have developed incorrectly

Try to find a mod where bonuses for AI are disabled

Played the game for like 200 hours, I know enough to know what to focus on and what not to focus on. It isn't the way I'm playing, every single race is Superior or Overwhelming in every single category. :/

Used to be that they were equivalent or inferior when playing on these settings, maybe one or two were superior in one category but this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.

This has also been a concern in my playthroughs. I've made it through a few research things and suddenly I've got two superior neighbors, one that wants to make war on me and another who demands to make me a vassal.

Patch 1.8 saw a rework of the AI focused on early expansion and optimization.

It’s actually very good now.

On normal difficulty it’s not get any bonus’ it’s just very good at utilizing the games mechanics.
