One of my Planets is taken over. How do I take it back?

I read something about setting wargoals, but I can't find that anywhere in the interface.

Btw it's just one planet that is stolen by a pirate faction; there is no hostile fleet in the system.

Pirates taking over a player planet? Is it an actual empire in the contacts? Does it still show your flag?
Probably only have to make some assault armies and land them to recapture it.

if you still control the starbase in that system, you can probably just land some troops on it.

if they are a completely different empire now, then yeah you probably have to declare war.

It's a hostile faction not associated to any empire.

How do I land troops, or declare war? I can't find either in the interface.

It's a faction not associated to any empire, and this is their only presence on the map (and it's also not a mutiny).

How do I land assault armies?

can you post a screenshot so we can see exactly what's going on so we don't tell you the wrong thing?

but to make troops you go to another one of your planets, and click the army tab.

At least that's something. And then I'll have to figure out how to get them to the occupied planet.

oh that. yeah just make some armies and then just fly them over to the planet like you would a fleet. right click planet with the armies selected should say something like " land armies".

just eh.. make sure you have enough armies titanic life is pretty stronk. you can probably see how strong in the army tab of the occupied planet.

I am now building assault armies, and have been instructed by the tutorial that these aotomatically embark on transport ships. I presume I can click these and point on the occupied planet to land them there; am I right? And then the battle will complete automatically?

you might be able to right click a regular fleet on the planet too to bombard them a bit, soften them up before your troops arrive.

not 100% sure if you can do that with this event. planet might take some collateral damage if you do that though.

Titanic Beast armies are damn strong, with normal assault armies I recommend taking a lot of em, like 10+ and hire a general to command them.

Afaik you can't bombard it, unless that was changed

I have the transport ships hanging over the planet now, but still can't find how to land them to the planet.
