You know you can build Observation Post, set observation to aggressive and sooner or later you will get an event that due to your error world is on the brink of war. Fail that quest on purpose et voilà, you have Earth at war.

The game has a pretty good chance to spawn the Sol system, including earth, in a variety of conditions, as long as none of the AI empires are one of the two types of humans that come as a pre-generated race and as long as neither you nor one of the other races starts in Sol.

When the game does, there are a variety of ways Earth can be:

It can be a Post Nuclear wasteland, populated by big mutated cockroaches on the way to become sentient (which you can uplift!)

It can be the Earth in, I believe, the second world war, including 4 land based armies with themed names for the time to symbolize the factions.

Aaand it can be the Earth on the brink of the third (and, if you don't intervene, last) world war. It is this state that you need - you need to invade them while they are at war but before the event can trigger nuclear holocaust.

Keep in mind that the galactic year 203x does NOT have to be OUR year 203x. It could be many thousands of years after world war 3 for all we know, and only year 2035 after the birth of turtle jesus of the glorious space turtle race.

If you are playing as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ human, It's not going to spawn Earth. Like, How dumb could you possibly be? Also. It's not 2200 for every single species. For some species it's alway 2534 while for you (the player) may just have reached 2200.
