Fallen Empire humiliate bug ... or feature?
So my nearby fallen empire hated me for encroaching on their territory. So they demanded my humiliation. Since I was not yet strong enough to challenge them, I accepted.

A few months later, they attacked me with the war goal of humiliation! But you can't be 'double' humiliated, right?

I immediately surrendered and was humiliated (again). The only extra thing that happened was they killed my leader. No big deal, I just elected a new one.

This triggered again when the humiliate timed out and repeated quite a few more times.

Is this a bug or is it supposed to happen this way?

if its just humiliated war goal remove that frontier station and they should stop that.

The point is that I agreed to be humilated but they declared war anyway to enforce it. In all other cases I have encountered, they leave you alone for a while if you agree to their demand.

I had previously given away several nearby colonies so that the only demand they had left was the humilation. This was because I expanded in the other direction but after a couple border expansion technologies, I encroached on them anyway, We just were too close at the start.

I am convinced it is a bug. They should not attack to enforce something you already agreed to.The choice to accept or not seems to be immaterial.

The problem is likely that you have a base still encroaching. They have the removal of that base as a precondition, but you may not see it.

Yeah, I've seen that before, they really shouldn't go to war for a goal if you already agreed to the goal. It's kind of funny though, because while killing your leader is supposed to be a bad thing, I don't think there's actually an empire type that is hurt by it. For democracies it basically negates the damage they do to you because offing your leader gives you another chance to build stations for influence to make up for the -100 for being humiliated.

I can see this as a possibility.

I still have a colony too close, but not close enough for them to ask to abandon it. So they ask for humuliation instead.

I agree to the demand, but the colony is still deemed too close so they declare war. However, the colony is not close enough to use as a war demand so the only war option is humiiiate.

Still sems a bug to me.

It may be, and I would encourage you to report it in the bugs thread. Then at leat you should eventaully get a qualified answer.

For me some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spiritualists have a permanent angry attitude because of my species becoming synthethics. I will be playing without fallen empires the next time I'm going fanatic materialst, because guaranteed FE wars, regardless how I might try to appease them, is just stupid.

At least Xenophile ones don't care.

My border expression at their border was so much stronger I practically swallowed one of their systems.

What happens if the FE kills your leader and you're a hive mind?
