Quest stuck in galaxy center

I've had this happen a few times now with different quests, most currentlywith "Reaching for the orb." There's no way to get there even if I can make the jump with Warp Drive or Hyper Drive. In general, it seems like some of these quest are bugged and have been since release. For instance, the pre-cursor events don't end even though I've found their star system. It's usually in a system that another civ has already discovered. If the civ that found it has already gotten whatever bonus there is to acquire, the quest should probably just end.

Great game, but bugs since day 1 that have not been patched out are disconcerning.

I run into that bug once. For me it was graphical glitch - quest have choisen correct star system, but marker on galaxy map was wrong. Check your situation log - seek for star system name in quest description and use system search to find it. It can be a bit sad if you don't expored that system yet and can't find it. In this case you can : ignore quest&hope to survey that system soon, or (if not in ironman) cheat and open map in observer mode to found your system (not advice to do it - observer mode will spoil A LOT).
