End of the cycle; The Reckoning
I've been looking everywhere to see if anyones beaten this monstrosity and what happens when its defeated. I can't find a single video of it being destroyed.
If its possible to destroy it I think I might try.

As far as i know i believe everyone in the galaxy gets pissed at you given then a -1000 modifier so i wouldn't be surprised if this was the reason why no one has posted a video of them being victorious against the reckoning.

It is possible to beat, at least in 1.6/7. It didn't recover so you could keep chucking naked corvettes at it and slowly wear it down.

However you don't get ANYTHING for beating it, so it's not really worth the effort.

They get mad at you because The End wants to destroy all life in the universe, and you foolishly brought about the end of all life.

You made a deal to bring about the end of the universe if you got to rule it a little before hand. Of course people are gana have a problem with it.

I am aware that everyone hates you for causing the event, but it was not implied people were talking about the person who caused it to happen. The thread was just about defeating The Reckoning.

Well as far as i am aware about the reckoning is that the thing is mostly shield with little to no armour. So i imagine using torpedos and the arc emitter would actually help strike craft as well given that they can pass through shields. But as far as i know what happens after you defeat it is beyond me. I don't even know if your planets that were shroud mark revert back to what they were or barren planets or stay like that for the rest of the game.

there is no point to attack the reckoning your self directly it will target you last hehe which by then means you win.
