Ghost signal research crashes the game!

Okay, this is a bit frustrating.. the research to stop the virus destroying your production freezes my game, the moment I get the message "They won't Kill, maim, dismember no more".

I replicated it three time, every time it's the same. I could just stop the research but it heavily cripple my economy... 40% penalty on everything is major!

Any known fix?

Search the discussions for Ghost Signal, a week ago I read a simple trick to circumvent the crash.

I got the Ghost Signal and I researched it and didn't get any crash or issue. The workaround was basically to not open the indication about it completing. It will eventually vanish and complete without error.

I got through it by just hitting enter instead of hovering my mouse over the button, because I heard that is what causes the crash and the only other way is to totally disable pop ups, which isn't how I want to play this game.

Hey guys,

Esc, Settings, Gameplay, turn pop up off.

You can still see the message in question, just click it in the queue. Either right click or press enter once it's shown.

It crashed for me twice when clicking on box, but using Enter key when curser not on box avoided game crash. Thanks for workaround.

Try also turning pop ups off. You still get a notification in the queue above and it's less obnoxious than a pop up.
