Synthetic Dawn DLC Bug/Error?

So I just recently purchased Synthetic dawn and I'm not quite sure what has exactly happened. After purchase it downloaded as usual and when visiting the DLC page showed it was in my Steam Library. However when looking at the complete list of DLC for the game in the Steam store it continually said it was "in cart." this went on for about an hour before it finally stopped.

The problem I still have though is that when I load the game and go to create a new Race, several options are highlighted in read (such as appearance, FTL type, etc), furthermore the Robotic type ships design doesn't appear in the Ship design selection. Honestly I'm not sure if this was just some download error on steam's part or if this is a random glitch from the DLC itself. Anyone else have this problem?

Not sure about the whole "in cart" issue you're having, but on the topic of robotic ship types, they don't exist. There are no city scapes or ship types added by the dlc. They say it would have been to much work. So it's purely story, policy and starting as a synthetic race.
