Any mods you have running?
Usually it should work this way:
Livestock-Slavery: each pop produces a big amount of food and nothing else, no matter whats on its tile, basically you are treating the enslaved pops like a farmer would treat meat animals, keeping the "herd" overall at size.
Purge-Eating them: Well thats like a Viking Raiding Party coming to your village and slaughtering all the cattle to transport it off, ofc on a planetary scale that takes time.
The food-output is higher then with livestock-slavery but ofc after a time the Pop is gone
So if there isnt any bug you should see a raise in food surplus after conquering a planet and the moment you switch to "processing" the surplus should raise again (and ofc plummet after a time when the pops are actually eaten)
Sadly it's very little hive mind can do about unrest, as he has no ethos spiritualist, civic like police state, and armies cannot help with unrest like 300.
But you can resettle pops to your planets, placing 2-3 pops on each (and resettling slaves is free for hive mind). That way you should eat them easily.
All 4 planets have 100 unrest. I am going to try to station some armies maybe that will help.
I do not use any mods and playing on ironman.
