Console commands for traits
I was messing arround with mods and for some reason one wasnt working correctly, so I deleted it, unfornunately there was another empire living in this new planet type of the mod. Before I deleted the mod I changed the planet type of a vanilla type (Tropical) The problem now is with the mod gone the native species has 30% habitability (and no planetary preferance) and I cant change (or dont know how) to change their planetary preferance.

Helpful site for an arange of intel http://www.stellariswiki.com.

The console commands page is pretty usefull but dated if you want to try things out.
But first you need is to find the ID of your pop, but to find out its number ID, type "debugtooltip" in console. Then go to the species tab and hover over your portrait to find the ID.

In the end, the line you want is "add_trait_species (your species number) trait_pc_tropical_preference" without the "" or () and you should be good.

This can go both ways were you to mess around with that empire you dislike by changing their preference, or make a Hive Devient, because reasons.
Thanks a million man! It worked! But for some reason the happiness didnt update.
Also, how can I add a planet? Some empire is still present yet their planet isnt. (Thanks to my mod madness) They only have 1 planet
Sorry for the late reply, honestly I havent fiddled around much with commands, "planet_happiness" 0-100 should work with the planet selected just by having it's window open., honestly, I have no clue on how to add planets, the "help" comand for finding something or partialy typing something and hitting tab to view other commands or auto complete it.
What about:

> "play CountryIdHere"
select planet
> "colonize"
00 is you, 01 and up is other ai, so you could give someone a planet, colonized with the cool down, but, it has the issue of putting a robot in the shuttle camp instead of a pop.
Great!

I've been adding mod to mess about the core game that I no longer know what mod affect what files. So, when I play Stellaris once again after the big update, trying to add/remove trait with this way seems to be no longer working. All I got is "Trait not Found" on command console. Any idea on how to see the current/list of trait currently available within the game?
