Conquering the galaxy?

I am playing as a moral democracy and I am bored to tears because I cant do much in the way of conquest.
My question is , what races can I play as where I can just get huge and conquer all. Klingons? Are there traits that allow this that are built into certain factions. I am playing New Horizons now and am pretty new to the game.Thx

a moral democracy doesnt really want to conquer the galaxy, they want to federate and migrate and build alliances, i would recomend building a militarist or xenophobic, or even authoratarian empire for that

Snag yourself a Devouring swarm or a Purity order, if you still care for diplomacy, gonna wanna snag those nifty authoritarian, xenophobic and militarist traits or and combo of those and something else, it's fitting and helps in aggressive playthroughs. Then you just gotta dive on into the galactic pool!
