Unrest?
Well I was doing great and then the unrest started big time I got one of the traditions but there was only gardens that came up in research and it was not enough. There was nowhere to move pop to fix.It just got worse until I was out of all resources and had to quit. It seemed to come suddenly. All my colonies wer 60-90 onrest fast.
So I ask what are all the things that cause unrest to spike like that?. Too many planets, people, As I said not emough techs to counter it came up.Ect. This was my first game and love it,but now I am discouraged. Thx

Mouse over the unrest icon on a planet and see what their complaints are?

Well I am playing the Star Trek mod. Is the list of things with a % next to them what you are talking about. Because there were about 10 of them lol.

Unrest is mainly caused by unhappy pops, like slaves or members of unhappy factions. There are various factors that apply multipliers or flat modifiers to it, caused by civics, events or ethics. I guess you agressively conquered some planets? This causes the inhabitants to get a large happieness modifier for 10 years, so they most likely will produce some unrest. You can lower unrest by stationing armies on the planet. Other than that, give them some time and the situation will calm down.
I am now in my second utopia game and am now playing as an authoritarian militant empire, so unrest is a constant problem for me. But I have learned that if I give conquered races military service right and good living conditions, and place 10 defence armies on the planet, unrest is no longer a (large) problem.

Look why the pops are unhappy. Are they in a suppressed faction? Are they slaves? Are they Xenophobes?

Maybe it`s the Mod. Maybe it Star Trek mod is in alpha. This is my first game of Stellaris period so I can`t compare to vanilla. I mainly bought the game for the Mod.
