Stellaris Mac Requirements
Hi,

I know that this question has been asked a thousand times but the game has evolved. So I want to know, before I buy the game, if it will run ... fine (I means good graphics and no big lags)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Processor 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

Thank you !

I run Stellaris on a bottom of the range MacBook Air. Trust me, you'll have no issues on 1000 star maps. I sometimes get lag issues and have had to transfer some games via memory stick to a windows with better performance, but by what you've said, you should be better.

It'll run... but you're going to be screaming once the game reaches the end to mid game.

The fans will run continuously. And the lag will really get to you.

Err I started my most latest 1000 star map when utopia launched. I'd say I'm 20 hours into it and fastest now equal fast in terms of how quickly it progresses. By about 30 I'll probably have the issue of random lock ups. You can either power through them, like I do, or use smaller maps.

You could probably manage that, but even my 2015 macbook pro slows down in the end game. Just be ready for it to slow down.

Yes, it'll still be playable. It'll just take a long time to do anything.

I'm not an expert but 1000 stars is a big map right ?

The biggest.

Okay if you play on a smaller map, it will work better. And when you say it slows down could you give an example. When you click on an icon, how many seconds does it has to take to ... work ?

Still reacts quickly, it's the underlying simulation that lags.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by underlying simulation ?

Game ticks. Basically the rate that everything in the game progresses at slows down, while the UI continues pretty well.
