Empire placement is catastrophic !
Just started 50 games and used the observe command to see empire placement, and man it's just hoorible;.. any way to fix that ?
You always start with a lot of empires close to you and a lot off space left with no empires... makes it just boring to me..

playing 1K galaxy with 18 empires

Stop lying. Set empire placement to random. You made 50 games and stil didn't get it? XD

Let me show you a screenshot that totally defeats your point.

why would I lie ?
and in your game the Ai empires are well placed because you only have 5 of them lol

I am just saying that the game does not just place empires around the player empire. You made that up. My screenshot is proof.

I never ever experienced that problem to be honest. For me empires are ALWAYS evenly spread out with about the same amount of space inbetween them. I don't use clustered starts though. Not sure why the galaxy generation is so different for you. I never had any problems like this. Here a game I just started to test it again:

2000 stars and 60 empires:

I tested it with different amounts of empires and stars and different galaxy shapes as well, always evenly distributed.

ive had similiar problems, when you have "clusters" on, unless you spawn on the outside of your "cluster" you'll be surrounded, atleast for me. but after the update ive ha no problems.

Random empire placement:

I was the green one on the right, surrounded on all sides while the 3 nations on the left had room to expand into superpowers.
