Mods not showing up in launcher
So I got the Utopia DLC and the Banks update. First couple times I launched Stellaris all my mods both showed up in the launcher and worked in game. Now for some reason they are all gone. Not one mod is listed in the mod section even though I'm still subed to all of them still. Any idea what the issue is or how to fix it?
Thanks guys

I'm having the same issue. Bought 3 DLCs today and none of them show up. When I go to the DLC page, it states I can buy it again AND that I have it in my library.

Update: Stellaris wasn't updating in my downloads and was waiting for several hours... Once I downloaded the update everything showed up.

I'm having a similar issue. The difference is I actually played Utiopia yesterday on Ironman and then purchased two more DLCs (Plans and Leviathen) and now:

1) None of the mods appear in the launcher and it only loads the Vanilla game
2) It won't let me start a new game in Ironman mode despite cloud enabled and steam online.

I have tried everything I can think of:

i) Checked the game files
ii) Re-installed the game
iii) Restarted my computer 3 times
iv) Logged in and logged off steam
v) Individually uninstalled and reinstalled all DLCs

Does anyone have any ideas?

I didn't buy the DLC, and I'm having the same issue.

I sent my problem to Paradox support and they suggested the following solution (which didn't work for me but might for you):

  • Important: Go to '..\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\save games\' and copy all the save games you want to keep outside the folder

  • Uninstall Stellaris Steam users: uninstall the game from within steam by right clicking on the game and select "Delete content"

  • Go to the folder where you installed Stellaris in, and check if the Stellaris folder is removed. If not, delete the entire folder Steam users: Installation folder can be found at: '..\Steam\SteamApps\common\'

  • Go to '..\My Documents\Paradox Interactive\' and remove the entire Stellaris folder

  • Install the game, make sure you install the game outside the 'C:\Program Files\' or 'C:\Program Files (x86)\' folders, as it can cause issues with permissions

I'm having the same issues. Started about 2 or 3 days ago. I bought Utopia updated all my mods started playing a new game. Opened it up the next day all my modded stuff was messed up closed the game noticed my mod page on the title screen was 0. I've tried to fix it on my own and now all my DLC isnt registering either. I've done all the tricks listed here so far. Anyone figure out a work around yet?

I'm finally trying to get back into Stellaris since the update, and I'm running into this issue as well. Has anyone been able to resolve it since April?

Edit: Nevermind. I got mods to work by launching the game from Steam instead of the icon I pinned to my taskbar, as suggested here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/281990/discussions/0/1353742967799257454/

Now if only I could get it to stop crashing with my full modlist enabled...

I had the same problem. I was able to solve it by restarting Steam.

So why is the solution we have to accept rather than being able to launch outside Steam and still get mods?

Okay, so after poking around, the reason is Steam does not put mods from the workshop in the default \Users\sable\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod folder. It puts the mods in a special numbered folder in the \Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content folder. Mine is numbered 281990, but I don't want to assume it's the same for everyone without hearing from other people.

The folders for the mods are numbered, but mod files appear to keep the names inside those numbered folders. Simply copying the mod folders over to the \Users\sable\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod folder does not appear to be a solution, but I don't really have time to mess around with it anymore right now.

Sable.Twilight - I used those location files and copied the "Description" files (listed as MOD audio files) from the Program Files directory to the Stellaris Mod Folder and renamed them ucg_xxxxxxx with the "x's" being the numbers corresponding with the subfolders they were in. This did allow the mods to appear in the launcher but they still do not function in the game...
