It worked once for me, converted 2 out of 4 pops on the planet.

But how do you know if you changed the governing ethics? I want to enlighten them but I don't want to enlighten filthy fanatical purifiers.

EDIT: I just got a message saying I managed to rid the specie of some of their primitive beliefs. They have Materialist now in their "attracted-to ethics"

EDIT2: The exact message is: "We have made great stride in ridding the "Specie's name" of the superstitions and primitive beliefs that plagued their society. They are beginning to see the value of science and rationality."
It happened again, and I am a fanatic materialist, so I suppose it's why they turn to science.

Yeah I have also been wondering about this. I got it to fire an event which turned a couple pops to my ethic, but they still have a few that are of the opposed ethic. So far it doesn't seem to matter how long I leave it on I can't convert everyone... I just wish it would say somewhere that 50% is as good as you are going to get.
