What does the "adjective" part mean in the nation creator?

What does it do and what does it tell about your nation?

It's for when they're talking about your empire's stuff. Like if my empire is The Empire of Terra and I choose Terran as my adjective, the game will display text like "Terran spaceships have bla bla bla" in diplomatic text, events, etc...

Its a description inserted into names of things.

Say you have a race named "The Pinguians"
Conquering with your noot noots, you know the drill.
under adjective you might have "Pingu" "Pinguian" "Nootish" or "nootish"

When text is, say, describing the actions of your, say, scientists it will read
"The [Nootish] (or whatever you put as adjective) scientists study the black hole" or "Thats a [Pinguian] Battleship" a single burst from its machinenoots can saw a man in half
