Don't worry, the old guard will stay in that system and will only attack if you visit them. You might get a Young Blood patrol flying through your territory but by the time this happens, you should be strong enough to deal with them. (5-800 strength).
Most hostile entities tend to stick to their systems, the notable exceptions are the Amoebas and the very rare pirate patrol (Young Bloods) if you are near to their base.

there should be two other pirate fleets nearby, old/scarred veterans and young blood. That there is the makeshift main pirate vessel in the core pirate sytem, didn't you get the notification when jumping in?
That ship belongs to the Old Guard, there usually are two other fleets with it. (pirate faction)
The main fleets will stay in that system but the Young bloods might occasionally fly through your territory hitting stations en route.
