Can a friend join an ongoing game? (Solved)

I believe that you can start a multiplayer game and load your save, and then your friend can hotjoin your game and take over one of (most of) the other empires in the game. I haven't actually tried it myself, though, so I'm not certain.

Thx tried it works just like that. If you already started the player that just joined can take over an ai empire
