How to upgrade existing auto-design fleet to a custom design?
Hi, I'm using a fleet of ships based on the auto-best design.
I have now designed replacements for all the 4 types of ships in the fleet, but don't know how to update the fleet to the new custom designs.
I can make new ships ofc, but I really need to convert this existing fleet fast due to reasons involving an enemy fleet that is chasing me, and has weapons and defences my fleet cannot current compete with or counter, but the replacement designs can do it.

Thanks.

That only seems to upgrade to a newer version of the same design. i.e. Auto-Best to Auto-Best.
Not, Auto-Best to 'New-Design-1'

If you have the set of auto completed updated designs and new set of manual designs, then you should be able to just delete the auto completed set of designs and force the ships to upgrade to the new design type. It should work if you do this and the designs aren't exact replicas of each other.

Fleets will upgrade to the latest design of the same name. If none exists they will upgrade to latest design. So if your auto-gen ships are called "toledo class" and you upgrade them they will just go to the new "toledo" class ships. Delete the auto design and make a new one to upgrade.

you could also just re-design the autogen to what you ant and keep same name and upgrade
