Because people have their own opinions.
"I wanna kill everybody and take over the galaxy"
gg bro.
It's called Jingoism.
Jingoism is extreme patrotism taken to a ridiculous level which preaches war and extreme aggression.
It does not preach Xenocide. Or Genocide.
Jingoism is patrotism at it's worst, but don't claim that it's something it's not. It doesn't need your attempts to make it look bad to make itself look terrible.
The Militarist faction are Jingoists or however you spell it. The purifier faction and the Xenophobia/purity faction are different.
Are those facts or acid?
Because I'm feeling pretty burned :P
Thanks for setting me right though. I was more meaning the 'take over' part, since the Militarist FE becomes the Jingoistic Reclaimers when they awaken.
Maxing ethics attraction isn't just a matter of pumping more bonuses to governing ethics attraction. You can see the current factors affecting active factions in tool tips by hovering over the ethic on the factions screen.
Some things I've noticed
* Ruler's ethics is a +factor, but I can only easily tell/ensure ruler ethics in a Democracy
* The various diplo with same ethics bonus means it can be worth liberating a plant and NOT integrating but trading w/them for the ethics diplo attraction bonus
* a few bonus are asymmetric, most are symmetric wrt opposing ethics
symmetric example: weak/strong
asymmetric: atWar only a +mil, also slaves is +authoritarian AND +egalitarian
Pacifist --> +weak, +longPeace | -strong
Militaristic --> +atWar, +strong | -weak, -longPeace
Egalitarian --> +Democracy, +Diplo w/egalitarianCivs, +slaves | -Imperial, -Decadent
Authoritarian --> +Imperial, +Decadent, +slaves | - Democracy
Materialist --> +(any research race trait), +mechanist, +robots, +AI rights, +research agreements | -psionic tech
Spiritualist --> +fanatic(due to size bonus) +psionic tech, +diplo w/spiritualists | -robots, -AI rights
Xenophile --> +Charismatic, +Syncretic Evolution, +migrationTreaty, +Free Xenos(I think this means citizen rights) | -purgingXenos, -repugnant
Xenophobe --> +purgingXenos, +repugnant | -Charismatic, -allowing xeno leaders, -migrationTreaties, -free xenos
1.6 notes: +Fanatic Purifiers civic now increases Xenophobe attraction
Keeping the Spiritualist faction happy:
Pious Polty/Secular State mod is a bit of an odd ball... as I understand it you have to pay attention to the name of the government type that I thought was just flavor text...
(Imperial Cult | Exalted Priesthood) always satisfy but you have to pay attention to the flavor description of the authority as gov descript is a combination of ethic + authority +civic. For instance Fanatic spiritualist + imperial + Philosopher King is secular but w/o Phil King it is spiritual. Civil service will always make you a secular government type, things like that.
-------------- This may be outdated when 1.6 Adams drops next week --------------
1.6 is supposed to be tweaking this but they were rather vague as to how e.g.
* Faction Issues have been remixed, with multiple new and re-tuned demands
